AMAN CENTER (REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE) ATTENDS THE SWEDEN CONFERENCE DR. MANSOUR AL-SAADI: WARS AND CRISES VIOLATE CHILDHOOD
The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), affiliated to Qatar Social Work Foundation as the regional representative of the Middle East and North Africa, participated in the meetings of the Child Helpline International Organization at Stockholm from 24 to 26 June, in coordination with UNICEF. Region representatives and member states of the Organization attend the conference to discuss and exchange views on the role and mechanisms of hotlines to help children and to fill their needs and to enable them to report abuse on their behalf upon request.
Dr. Mansour Al-Saadi: Children of the Middle East are the most affected by crises.
Dr. Mansour Al-Saadi, Executive Director of Aman Center, presented a presentation on the situation of children in the Middle East as one of the world's most affected children by crises and wars that violate their rights of life, health, education and others. He appealed the organization to give them priority, especially the children of Yemen and Syria, who suffer the scourge of war and Palestine, Libya, Sudan which are suffering from conflict, and also gulf Children who are impacted by the social and economic siege on the cohesion of families and the problems suffered by children as a result of the disruption of the social life of the children of mixed family. He pointed out that the Middle East region is full of conflicts and crises, whether direct or indirect, which requires the research of how to find the necessary protection for these children.

The hotline 919 and “Sa3edny" Application:
The hotline services (919) and “Sa3edny" Mobile Application helped the center to be nominated as a regional representative for the Middle East and North Africa to start activating the role of 2019 for four years. This is the first event in which AMAN participated after its worth of this representation, which includes children's organizations that provide hotline services.

Joint international electronic Launch pad Project for hotlines
Members of the organization discussed with the representatives of countries and organizations concerned with children over three days how to launch a joint international electronic Launch pad for hotline to facilitate the communication between these lines, and to provide more protection for the data by creating a framework model for the electronic launch pad in preparation for the launch in 2020, this system is provided with the standards of governance and sufficient guarantees to maintain the system according to a financial and administrative rational work.. The electronic launch pad will help to increase the effectiveness of hotlines for the Members States and will contribute to increase the effectiveness and to apply new technological opportunities, such as artificial intelligence and automated learning, and the discovery of new insights to improve child help lines more effectively.

International Conference in Qatar 2020 and Regional Conference in Palestine
The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), affiliated to Qatar Social Work Foundation is preparing to host the ninth International Conference of the Organization in the State of Qatar in 2020, in cooperation with a number of partners and international organizations. The conference will focus on discussing how to protect children in conflict and war zones and documenting experiences and best practices in hotlines for children.
This is the second time that Aman Center had hosted this conference, which was the first time in 2012. Also, it is expected to organize the first regional meeting for the Middle East and North Africa in the State of Palestine at the end of this year, as Palestine is the Deputy Regional Representative for the Middle East and it is expected to attend 20 members representing 14 countries that have hotlines for children.

Child Helpline International (CHI)
Is an international organization with consultative status from the United Nations, a non-profit civil society organization founded in 2003 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It has 181 members representing 147 countries, and its slogan is a voice for every child, as the child help line is considered the front-face of the war on child abuse. The organization's lines annually receive more than 20 million calls from children and young people who need protection. The organization is also a member of the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM). The organization is represented in five regions: African, American, Caribbean, Asian, Pacific, European and Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa.
